A source told Us Weekly that the daughters of Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, have been forced to reconsider several public and personal plans as the situation continues to unfold.
“Eugenie and Beatrice have had to change their upcoming public-facing plans and future plans this year,” the insider said.
Although the sisters are said to be less concerned about the possibility of their father facing prison, they remain troubled by the circumstances.
“They aren’t as worried about Andrew being arrested and going to jail, but they are still horrified that he’s involved in this and worry there could be more to come.”
Titles stripped and arrest intensify the fallout
The situation escalated dramatically after Andrew lost his royal titles, including Prince and Duke of York, in October 2025. The controversy intensified further when he was arrested on his 66th birthday, February 19, following the release of documents linked to the late Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew has since faced accusations of alleged misconduct in public office.
In addition, he was ordered to leave Royal Lodge, the Windsor residence where he had lived for years. He vacated the property last month.
According to sources, the entire ordeal has been extremely difficult for his daughters.
The fallout has been described as “devastating,” with one insider noting that “in London it’s all people are talking about.”

Scaling back public appearances
In response to the ongoing attention surrounding the scandal, Beatrice and Eugenie are reportedly planning to step away from public engagements for the time being.
A second source told the outlet that the sisters will reduce their appearances “in the near future.”
“They are not actually planning on doing any public events in the near future because of everything surrounding their parents because they know that will be the focus,” the insider explained.
Rumors had circulated that the pair had been barred from attending Royal Ascot this year because of the controversy. However, the same source dismissed those claims.
“They were not going to be there anyway,” the insider said. “They were not planning on attending.”
Family support remains strong
Despite speculation about their standing within the royal circle, sources insist that Beatrice and Eugenie have not been pushed aside by the Royal Family.
