I was not in the mood to continue working, so I took a leave and went back home.

After a good while, Laura came back, looking exhausted.

She threw her bag on the sofa and went to take a shower without even looking at me.

I kept waiting for her to explain it to me, but she avoided it until we went to bed.

I couldn't help but drag her up from the bed.

"What did you mean today?"

Laura looked at me calmly and said indifferently, "What else could it mean? It's what it looked like.

"You sucked today, making me lose face.

"And, can you stop bothering me? I want to sleep!"

How dare she think about sleeping after cheating on me?

I looked at her incredulously. She seemed so strange to me.

"Laura Parker, did I not satisfy you? How dare you mess around outside! Can you justify yourself to me?

"I work hard under the scorching sun, and you, you take my hard-earned money to support another man!

"Have you ever considered my feelings? Is your heart still cold after all these years of marriage?"

I couldn't control myself anymore and yelled out years of repression.

Laura was stunned for a moment. We had been married for many years, but I had never spoken loudly to her before.

I was willing to give her whatever she needed.

My elementary school classmates all told me not to spoil her so much, as she would know no bounds.

But I thought that being good to the woman I loved was the most basic thing.

Now it seemed that some people just didn't deserve that.

"Can't you be more generous? Look at yourself. Your rough skin and dark complexion. You are not even worthy of me.

"I was just fooling around outside, and I didn't bring anyone home. Why are you so anxious? Who do you think you are to speak so loudly to me?

"I want you to apologize to me immediately!"

Laura came back to her senses, with an expression of dissatisfaction on her face.

I didn't expect her to say so many ridiculous things.

She was a college graduate, but what she said stunned me.

"Either break up with him and write a promise to never fool around again, or get a divorce."

I suddenly felt exhausted.

Laura looked at me in shock.

"Are you fucking crazy? You can get a divorce, but you'll leave with nothing. Otherwise, don't even think about it!"

I never thought that a person could be so shameless.

I was not the one at fault, yet she demanded me to leave with nothing!
