With only weeks left in the year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have drawn attention with the trailer for their new Netflix documentary series. Reports also suggest the couple have declined King Charles’ invitation to spend Christmas at Sandringham, a decision that has not gone unnoticed.
In the past, Harry and Meghan joined the Royal Family for Christmas celebrations, exchanging gifts much like any other family. These presents were often playful rather than extravagant, and one gift Meghan once gave Prince William raised more than a few eyebrows.
Meghan Markle and Prince William: A Promising Start

Despite the warm start, William privately harboured concerns about how quickly Harry’s relationship progressed. He allegedly advised his brother to “take as much time as you need to get to know this girl,” a comment Harry later interpreted as “snobbish.”
A source told the Daily Mail that William worried Meghan might be “more concerned about her personal progression or profile over the wider goals and aims of the Royal Family.” Still, he kept these thoughts largely to himself, hoping she would be happy and recognising the scale of adjustment she faced.
