Meghan Markle has faced accusations of staging her newest clip featuring husband Prince Harry, after viewers began questioning how genuine the moment really was.

Shared on the Duchess of Sussex’s Instagram Story from their $21 million Montecito home, the video shows Meghan, 44, carrying a tray of her As Ever chocolates into what appears to be Harry’s home office.

The 41-year-old Duke of Sussex is seen sitting barefoot at his desk with a laptop open in front of him. Dressed casually in blue jeans and a white polo shirt, he appears relaxed. Behind him, military badges, framed photographs, and a card reading “Papa” are visible.

As Meghan approaches, Harry responds eagerly: “Ooh, yes please,” reaching for one of the limited edition chocolate bars.

“White chocolate? You got it,” Meghan replies, confirming his choice.

He then adds, “Thank you, love you”, before Meghan picks up the tray and exits the room.

Social Media Reacts

The short clip quickly circulated online, prompting a wave of reactions across social media platforms.

“You know he never looks that groomed working from home. Lol,” one Twitter user commented.

“This is so cringe,” another wrote.

“This looks so fake,” a third person said, while a fourth criticised: “It’s SO contrived.”

Still, not everyone was sceptical. Many supporters rushed to defend the couple, praising how content they appeared.

“He looks so comfortable in his own skin now,” one Reddit user observed.

“He definitely has a glow,” another agreed.

“I’m obsessed with how chill their lives look now. He’s just wearing casual clothes, barefoot in his office, chilling with his beagle? Nobody can tell me life in the palace is better than what they have,” a third fan shared.

A Glimpse Into Their Montecito Life

Also featured in the clip is the Sussexes’ rescue beagle, Mamma Mia, curled up beneath Harry’s desk near his feet.

The couple are also owners of a black Labrador named Pula. They previously had another beagle, Guy, whom Meghan adopted in Canada in 2015. Sadly, Guy passed away in January 2025.

The video arrives shortly after Meghan unveiled As Ever’s Valentine’s Day collection, created in partnership with Los Angeles chocolatier Compartes.

The limited edition range introduces four new chocolate varieties blended with Meghan’s existing products.
