“He was in a whole series of things which were really about lining his own pockets rather than actually supporting British trade efforts- including in places like Afghanistan, where, of course, British troops had died only very recently.”

Scrutiny of Beatrice’s Lavish Lifestyle
The renewed attention has also prompted discussion of Princess Beatrice’s lifestyle during her twenties. Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams pointed to her reported seventeen holidays in 2015, including trips to Verbier, St Tropez and Ibiza.
According to the Daily Mail, fifteen luxury trips abroad that year were estimated to have cost £300,000 (A$575,000). At the time, Beatrice’s reported salary at Sony was £19,500 (A$37,000).
“Her salary at Sony at the time was £19,500 (A$$37,000), which would not go far, while her lifestyle was obviously ridiculously excessive,” Fitzwilliams said.
“It now seems clear that their father’s dodgy business deals when Special Trade Envoy and their mother’s alleged financial dependence on Jeffrey Epstein, could have been pivotal to her life of luxury.”
He added: “Beatrice was able to live it up but now we wonder at whose expense?”
Calls to Question Sarah Ferguson
Lownie also turned his attention to Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, alleging she played a role in introducing Epstein into royal circles.
“She gave Epstein the sort of entrée into Andrew and into the royal family,” he said.
“Sarah Ferguson is a material witness to the sex trafficking, to what was going on in Epstien’s homes; she was certainly a regular visitor there, and she should certainly be testifying to the Senate.
“But there’s also HMRC- Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs- they should be looking at her. The Companies Act-I think she broke the charitable laws while running her charities,” he alleged.
“So I think she’s definitely worth investigating as well, and she should certainly be questioned about the misconduct in public office, as should his (Andrew’s) daughters who accompanied him on many of these trips and used these trips to get contacts which they are now exploiting themselves.”
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
