According to sources, the 44-year-old Duchess of Sussex is “newly energised” about setting foot in the UK again with Prince Harry, 41. Despite ongoing tensions with the Royal Family, insiders claim the strain has “only strengthened her resolve.”
“She (Meghan) wants to show the British public what they threw away,” a source told celebrity reporter Rob Shuter.
The anticipated visit is expected to align with Prince Harry’s Invictus Games “one year to go” event in Birmingham on July 10. However, those close to Meghan suggest the trip represents more than a simple public appearance.
Shuter reports that the former actress has already begun working with prominent stylists and designers to curate what one insider called “the best wardrobe ever seen on a British royal.”
“She’s not going back quietly – if she returns, it will be on her terms,” another source said.
Accommodation plans and royal speculation
The couple are believed to have explored hotel options in Birmingham before ultimately deciding on a private residence for their stay.
At the same time, rumors have emerged that King Charles could offer them Royal Lodge, the former Windsor home of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, vacated the 30-room property in January after renewed scrutiny over their past connections to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. The estate in Windsor Great Park is now reportedly empty following the conclusion of police searches.

Although relations between Harry and his father have remained strained since the Sussexes stepped back from royal duties and moved to the United States six years ago, some insiders believe such an offer would be significant.
“This would be the ultimate olive branch,” one royal insider said.
“Charles wants unity. Offering Harry a significant Windsor property would send a powerful message that the door is still open.”
Still, doubts remain about whether the Sussexes would accept. One palace source cautioned that Royal Lodge carries heavy associations.
“Moving Harry and Meghan into Andrew’s old house ties them to a property that’s become synonymous with scandal. That’s a lot of baggage,” the source said.
Highgrove and family relations
Earlier reports suggested the King had also considered offering Highgrove House — one of his most treasured private residences — as a possible base during a UK visit.
