Lily hesitated… then stepped forward and hugged her grandmother tightly.
Margaret wrapped her arms around the girl as if she were holding something precious that she had almost lost forever.

“Take her home,” he said. “And maybe next time… teach lessons with love instead of fear.”
Margaret nodded.
“I will.”
As they walked back toward the car, Lily held her grandmother’s hand tightly.
