The Duchess of Sussex, 44, posted a series of behind-the-scenes clips on Instagram on March 18, offering a glimpse into a photoshoot for her As Ever brand — with her two children, Princess Lilibet, four, and Prince Archie, six, making brief but sweet appearances.

The opening video shows Meghan arranging flower bouquets outdoors while asking someone off-camera, “Are you having fun, my love?”
Moments later, Archie quickly runs into the frame before darting away again. The clip then cuts to Meghan laughing and saying “Archie,” as a child’s voice calls out “Mum” in the background.
Shortly after, Lilibet appears and leans in to whisper something into her mother’s ear.
“Yes, I think you can. Let’s go, let’s go,” Meghan responds, before guiding her daughter away as they run off together.
Additional photos in the post show Lilibet helping with the flower arrangements and later sitting under the table while Meghan continues working.
Meghan captioned the post: “Mama’s little helpers. BTS of our shoot for @aseverofficial at our home.”
The reference to “our home” points to the family’s residence in Montecito, California, where Meghan lives with Prince Harry and their children after stepping back from royal duties in 2020.
Critics question authenticity
Despite the lighthearted nature of the post, it quickly drew criticism online. Some users accused Meghan of staging the moment for attention.
“Clearly staged and released for attention. We don’t have royals in the US, nor do we want them. It is a British thing. Why the consistent, unending self-promotion?” one critic wrote.
Another added: “The constant staged, self-promotions are annoying. Can’t blame everyone for being over her.”
“Staged as usual,” another commented, while someone else simply wrote: “Another staged moment.”
Fans rush to defend her
However, many others came to Meghan’s defense, praising the video and pushing back against the negativity.
“They are so adorable!” one fan wrote.
“So sweet! I can’t wait until we can see the children’s faces. They are growing up so fast. Love you, Meghan!” another added, while a third pointed out: “Folks, most influencers stage photo shoots. No biggie, IMO.”
