Those guests who couldn't make it to the wedding could come for a posthumous farewell.

It sounded like a joke from hell.

"You did make a reservation, but there was a special circumstance. Someone booked all the halls. Would it be okay to reschedule you for two days from now?"

When a person died, it was important to bury them in the ground for peace, preferably on an auspicious day.

How could I wait for two days?

"Can I ask who booked the venue?" I didn't want to give up. I was going to beg the person who chartered the venue to give me a little time so I could send my mom off.

The staff hesitated for a moment, "I shouldn't have said this, but I see that you work at Evans Company. The person who booked the venue is Ms. Evans from your company."

Bella booked the venue?

Was she making such a big deal in order to hold a memorial service for a dog?

Just then, I saw a man and a woman walk in. They were very intimate, and sure enough, they were Bella and Holden.

Holden looked surprised when he saw me, "James, what are you doing here? Are you following us?"

Bella looked at me coldly, "James, I'm only postponing the wedding date. Are you so small-minded? Can you be a little more generous?"

"Holden is feeling so bad. Don't make it worse. Leave immediately!"

"Auntie also needs your care!"

So she didn't know anything.

Bella.

Right, her attention was all on Holden. How could she notice what happened to me?

My mother had passed away.

She didn't need any care or expert.

I held back my anger and slowly said, "Ms. Evans, did you book this venue?'"

Bella snorted, "James, what do you want to say? That I'm spending money recklessly? This money is from my own pocket, not the company's account."

"Holden has many fans. His beloved dog passed away, and many fans came to pay their respects. We need a venue."

Bella misunderstood. She thought I blamed her for using company money to support Holden's idol career.

I did say before that because Bella spent too much money. Holden became popular with her money, which caused the company to operate poorly.

Bella always confidently asked me back every time.

She had long forgotten that her money was earned by me.

I tried to keep calm, because resentment couldn't solve the problem.

I just wanted to quietly send my mom away. I had decided not to get involved in Bella's life anymore.
